14 Bodies Recovered from Rubble of House Destroyed by Israeli Forces in Gaza
GAZA – Civil Defense crews in Gaza City recovered 14 bodies of “martyrs” from under the rubble of a house destroyed by Israeli forces during their offensive on the city.
Rescue teams stated today that “search and recovery operations were conducted under extremely difficult conditions and with limited resources, as part of ongoing humanitarian efforts to recover the bodies of martyrs trapped under the debris for a dignified burial.”
The crews added: “Israeli aircraft launched a series of airstrikes today targeting the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, coinciding with heavy gunfire from military vehicles stationed north of the city, causing severe tension in the area.”
According to local sources, Israeli artillery shelled the east of Al-Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip, while military vehicles fired heavily toward the telecommunications building near Abu Hamid roundabout in central Khan Younis to the south.
Widespread Health Crisis
Infectious diseases, particularly respiratory and digestive illnesses, are spreading widely among children, doubling the pressure on health facilities in the Strip. Authorities noted that the number of patients exceeds hospital bed capacity by approximately four times.
The spokesperson for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) emphasized that the residents of the Gaza Strip are in desperate need of urgent intervention, especially with continuous rainfall, to address deteriorating humanitarian conditions and mitigate the crisis’s impact on displaced persons.
