Hail Welcomes Tourists Through the “Winter is Here” Campaign and Records Strong Tourism Growth
Under the slogan “Winter is Here,” the city of Hail is witnessing a remarkable influx of tourists from inside and outside the Kingdom, benefiting from its tourism assets and the Saudi Winter program.
The city of Hail is an integrated tourism destination, characterized by high readiness and promising investment opportunities, thanks to the enablement of the destination by the Saudi tourism ecosystem that facilitates the investor’s journey. The ecosystem has supported 35 projects, including 14 new projects, with total investments reaching 2.4 billion riyals and the addition of 2,000 hotel rooms, confirming the destination’s attractiveness and the expansion of the hospitality map and unique experiences in Hail.
These projects are expected to contribute more than 180 million riyals annually to the region’s GDP, reflecting sustainable economic activity extending across tourism-related value chains.
Hail hosts 96 facilities as of the third quarter of this year, an increase of up to 48%, and contains more than 3,600 rooms, an increase of up to 36% compared to the same period last year. Hail received more than 1.8 million tourists by the end of the third quarter of this year, achieving tourism spending of 2.5 billion riyals.
The Saudi tourism ecosystem has contributed to driving the growth of the tourism sector by launching investment enablers and the investment incentives program, which contributes to reducing costs and accelerating the transition of opportunities into projects ready for implementation and operation.
The Tourism Development Fund also contributed by providing financing solutions that accelerate the development of tourism and hospitality projects, unique experiences, and support services.
The Saudi Tourism Authority contributes to promoting tourism destinations in a unified manner, having allocated a budget of 30 million riyals for the Hail region within the Saudi Winter program, alongside more than 300 media coverages and the participation of 50 partners with diverse offers and packages that support travel decisions and enrich the experience for tourists from inside and outside the Kingdom.
