Camera captures moment a skydiver collides with an airplane wing and adapts after ejection from the canopy
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) released footage documenting the moment a skydiver collided with an airplane on September 20, 2025, in northern Queensland.
The footage shows the skydiver’s reserve parachute handle striking the airplane’s left horizontal wing, causing an accidental entanglement that left the parachute caught on the wing.
The skydiver managed to cut himself free and survived the incident with minor injuries.
