## Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa: “We have transformed from a country led by individuals to a people leading the state”
Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa emphasized that his country has undergone a radical transformation from being a state led by specific individuals to a state where the Syrian people lead their own nation. This statement came during a speech delivered via video technology to participants in the campaign known as “Aleppo is the Mother of All” (Halab Sit al-Kul).
During his address to the campaign participants, he expressed his hope that “your eyes remain on Aleppo in its reconstruction and development, and that these charitable works do not conclude.” He noted that Aleppo had offered a great deal in what is known as the “Syrian Revolution,” stressing that when he “says Aleppo, he means both the countryside and the city together.”
Al-Sharaa underscored that Syria has become “a country led by individuals into a people leading the country,” considering “your economic, cultural, and social role important across all of Syria.”
The Syrian President praised the role of the city of Aleppo, saying that “Aleppo was something great for us; it was the key and the gateway to all of Syria, and it is the economic gateway through which Syria will rise.”
