Al Ahly exits the Egypt Cup after losing to Telecom Egypt 2-1
Cairo — The Egyptian Al Ahly SC team exited the Egypt Cup football tournament after losing to Telecom Egypt with a score of 2-1 on Saturday evening.
The match between Al Ahly and Telecom Egypt was held at Al-Salam Stadium as part of the competition’s Round of 32.

Al Ahly started the match with a lineup consisting of: Mohamed Seiha, Omar Kamal Abdelwahed, Yassin Marei, Achraf Dari, Mohamed Shokry, Ahmed Nabil Koka, Ahmed Reda, Mohamed Abdallah, Taher Mohamed Taher, Mohamed Sherif, Nejc Gradišar.

Match Scenario:
The danger began early from Telecom Egypt, as Nwanna Okechukwu sent a cross and struck it in the third minute, but the ball bounced out of the field just as Al Ahly’s goalkeeper came out.
In the seventh minute, Al Ahly striker Gradišar went one-on-one with the goal, but he wasted the opportunity after his shot hit the goalkeeper and went wide of the goal.
Ahmed Nabil Koka attempted a shot in the tenth minute, but it reached Telecom Egypt goalkeeper Hamza Moawad easily.
In the 29th minute, a dangerous opportunity arose for Telecom after a run by Nwanna Okechukwu, a brilliant penetration followed by a low shot, but Al Ahly goalkeeper Mohamed Seiha blocked it, and Omar Kamal cleared it afterward.
In the 41st minute, Al Ahly took the lead following a counter-attack, where Taher Mohamed Taher sent a pass that reached Omar Kamal, who unleashed a powerful shot into Telecom Egypt’s net.
