Yemen: Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Confirms Progress in Unifying Security Decision-Making and Saudi Oversight of Military Salaries
Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) — Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, said on Thursday that state institutions are making tangible progress in unifying security and military decision-making and improving services in liberated governorates, and that Saudi Arabia has completed the payment of salaries for all military formations previously funded by the UAE.
Al-Alimi added during a meeting with the ambassadors of countries sponsoring the political process in Yemen that “Yemen has begun serious measures to unify security and military decision-making, including the withdrawal of armed forces and formations from the capital.”
