The United States of America requires tourists coming from 42 countries to submit their social media data from the past 5 years, in addition to disclosing their fingerprints, facial scans, and DNA.
Official sources indicated that this is part of the country’s efforts to protect its borders and ensure its security, as the United States extends its security measures to what is known as “social media.”
The data collected will be used in counter-terrorism and organized crime analysis, emphasizing the importance of personal information in protecting the country.
