Boeing has signed a contract worth over $8.5 billion with the U.S. Department of Defense to supply Israel with advanced F-15 fighter jets.

A statement from the U.S. Department of Defense has revealed an agreement to supply 25 new F-15IA fighter jets to the Israeli Air Force, with an option to expand the project to include an additional 25 aircraft.

The statement specified that work under the contract, which will be carried out in St. Louis, Missouri, will be completed by December 31, 2035.

In a separate development, Boeing was awarded a $4.2 billion modification to a support services contract for E-4B aircraft, bringing its total value to $4.2 billion.

The modification aims to keep pace with periodic depot maintenance requirements, supply management, and field support services, as well as support for integration laboratories and engine systems.
