Counselor Faisal Al-Mutairi: The world is approaching boiling point… Peace Council is a necessary step to stop the Gaza war

The President of the International Diplomatic Union, Counselor Faisal bin Saad Al-Mutairi, welcomed the step of establishing the Peace Council, considering it an important initiative at a highly sensitive time, as the world approaches a “boiling point” due to escalating conflicts, wars, and intensifying regional and international crises.

Al-Mutairi emphasized that the Council is concerned with establishing a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, supporting reconstruction efforts in the Strip, and pushing seriously toward a just and lasting peace based on empowering the Palestinian people with their legitimate right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state in accordance with the principles of international law and resolutions of international legitimacy, paving the way for achieving security and stability for all countries and peoples of the region without exception.

He pointed out that the establishment of the Peace Council at this time is appropriate and necessary, given the repeated failure of traditional international mechanisms to contain conflicts and prevent their escalation, which calls for new frameworks more capable of rapid response and effective influence.

Al-Mutairi called for the Peace Council to operate as an independent international organization aiming to promote stability, rebuild reliable and legitimate governance in areas affected or threatened by conflicts, and ensure a sustainable peace based on justice, respect for sovereignty, and the protection of civilians.
