Dr. Alex George: Neurodivergence and OCD Diagnosis “Completely Changed My Life”
Dr. Alex George, famous for his appearance on the show “Love Island,” confirms that being diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) has “completely changed his life.”
Dr. George, formerly known as an A&E (Emergency Department) doctor, who spent his childhood in Carmarthenshire but now lives in London, has been calling for improved waiting times for medical assessment tracking after spending thousands of pounds to undergo private screenings for ADHD and Autism.
In his new book, Dr. George addressed the story of receiving the diagnosis and the nature of the symptoms that have accompanied him since youth. He mentioned that the symptoms had been present since early childhood.
“I was blamed for things at my school, even when I wasn’t present on that day,” he said while explaining the childhood struggles he faced.
