FBI Searches “Washington Post” Journalist’s Home After Suspicion of Leaking Classified Information.

1 Min Read

The New York Times reported, citing informed sources, that the home of reporter Hannah Natanson was searched. Hannah spent the past year covering the U.S. administration’s attempts to reduce the number of federal employees.

While providing her coverage, a number of dismissed employees shared their views on the situation with the reporter. For example, a Pentagon official stated that it was “important for him to convey the truth,” despite the risks. While speaking with the reporter, another official at the Department of Justice admitted that he was “disclosing classified information.”

So far, The Washington Post has not issued any comment on this matter.

At the beginning of his term, President Donald Trump signed an executive order to significantly reduce the jobs and operations of employees in many agencies as part of his war against bureaucracy.
