The German Foreign Ministry officially condemned Russia for allegedly hacking German air traffic control systems and attempting to interfere in the federal elections, and the Russian ambassador was informed of this.

The German Foreign Ministry spokesman said that Russian military intelligence was behind the “cyber attack on German air traffic control in August 2024.”

The spokesman also accused Russia of attempting to influence stability and affect the German federal elections held last February.

The spokesman added that Germany, in close coordination with its European partners, will address the matter by taking countermeasures to compel Russia to “pay a price for its hybrid actions.”

There was no immediate response from Russia.
