Hadhrami leaders urge dialogue and commend the Kingdom’s role in avoiding conflict
Parliamentary leaders and tribal references in Hadramout governorate commended the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the efforts aimed at restoring stability and balance to its region, and maintaining the security and stability of Yemen.
These leaders affirmed, during their meeting with Al Arabiya channel, their commitment to direct political dialogue with all parties as the only way to achieve sustainable solutions to problems, and they rejected the use of arms as a solution to disputes.
The Hadhrami leaders also expressed their absolute rejection of any attempts related to the entry of security forces from outside the governorate to take over internal security affairs, affirming their desire to maintain the existing local official frameworks.
The leaders praised the efforts of a Saudi-Emirati delegation, stressing that the tasks of this delegation require strenuous and increasing efforts, and that it is currently continuing its work in Hadramout governorate, where it meets with local sheikhs and dignitaries with the aim of sparing the region any future conflicts that may result from the current situation.
In a related context, a joint military team from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Union (UAE) arrived in Aden governorate yesterday morning, Friday, to hold detailed discussions with officials of the Southern Transitional Council, focusing on the final arrangements for the withdrawal of the Council’s forces from the governorates of Hadramout and Al-Mahra in eastern Yemen and their redeployment to their original and confined positions in the southern region of the country.
