Tottenham Hotspur Announces Departure of Sporting Director Fabio Paratici to Fiorentina After Winter Transfer Window

United News Commission – London – Fabio Paratici, the Sporting Director of Tottenham Hotspur, will leave the English football club following the upcoming winter transfer window to resume his duties with Serie A side Fiorentina.

The Italian Paratici joined Tottenham in the summer of 2021 but left the club in 2023 after Italy’s highest sports court rejected his appeal against a 30-month ban for alleged financial irregularities dating back to his previous tenure at Juventus.

Paratici received a 30-month global ban from FIFA but continued to work as a consultant for Tottenham before officially returning to the club in October.

In a statement released by the English club, Paratici said: “I have loved my time at the club, but this opportunity, combined with the need to be in my home country, led to this decision.”

Reports had surfaced regarding Paratici receiving his salary from Tottenham while working diligently, as stated by Tottenham manager Thomas Frank at the end of 2025.

Fiorentina currently sits in 18th place in the Italian league, and Ibrahimović scored against them in the last match. Meanwhile, Tottenham left-sided player Manor Solomon recently joined the Italian club on a loan deal with an option to buy.

Vinai Venkatesham, the Tottenham CEO who brought Paratici back to the North London club, stated: “Our management structure is designed to be resilient to changes in personnel, and work will continue as normal in the future.”
