A Historic Sporting Challenge: Plans for the Largest Boxing Event in History Unveiled in San Francisco

The live sports entertainment organization “iVisit Boxing” (“iVB”) has revealed its plans to host the highest-attended event in the history of boxing.

San Francisco’s Civic Center Plaza will be transformed into an open-air boxing arena, with the match being broadcast via the digital platform YouTube on July 11th.

It is worth noting that the current record for the largest attendance at a boxing event is 135,132 people, set in 1941 during the fight between boxers Tony Zale and Billy Pryor at Juneau Park in Milwaukee.

iVB CEO Ed Pereira stated: “Our attempt to break the world record follows the spirit of San Francisco; it reflects San Francisco’s commitment to civility and public engagement, which also mirrors our belief that the sport of boxing should revolve around its fans.”

This attempt comes in the context of efforts to establish large-scale boxing championships that bring together leading stars and teams. Although press reports suggest the potential participation of Unified Heavyweight Champion Oleksandr Usyk and 50-fight veteran heavyweight Deontay Wilder in this event, “BBC Sport” confirmed that there is currently no agreement between them to meet within this tournament’s festivities.
