King Abdulaziz Racetrack Celebrates its 53rd Meeting with Six Royal Cups

King Abdulaziz Equestrian Field in Riyadh hosted its 53rd meeting in an exceptional racing evening that highlighted the depth of Saudi Arabia’s equestrian sporting heritage. The event included six Royal Cups bearing the names of the Kings and Imams of the Saudi state, attended by a significant official and public presence of horse and equestrian sports enthusiasts.

The horse “Min Shan” achieved victory in the fifth round for the Imam Muhammad bin Saud Cup, for the sons of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz – may God have mercy on him. Prince Bandar bin Khalid Al-Faisal presented the cup.

In the sixth round, for the Sword of Imam Turki bin Abdullah, Al-Khaldia Stable triumphed with the victory of the horse “Nadeem Al-Muluk – Al-Khaldia” for the sons of Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz. Prince Bandar bin Khalid Al-Faisal presented the sword to Prince Fahd bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz.

The seventh round was dedicated to the King Fahd bin Abdulaziz Cup – may God have mercy on him, where the horse “Talaft” managed to win for Mr. Abdulhadi Al-Shafi. Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd presented the cup to the winning stable crew.

Competition continued in the eighth round for the King Khalid bin Abdulaziz Cup – may God have mercy on him, and the horse “Badr Al-Samawi” achieved victory for Mr. Abdulelah bin Abdulaziz. Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz presented the cup to the owner, Abdulelah Abdulaziz Al-Mousa.

As for the ninth round, for the King Faisal bin Abdulaziz Cup – may God have mercy on him, the horse “Star of Wonder” was crowned champion for the sons of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz – may God have mercy on him. Prince Turki Al-Faisal presented the cup to Prince Mutaib bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.

The night’s Royal Cup events concluded with the tenth round for the King Saud bin Abdulaziz Cup – may God have mercy on him, and the horse “Hageet” secured the win for the sons of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz – may God have mercy on him. Prince Musab bin Saud bin Abdulaziz presented the cup to Prince Mutaib bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.

This meeting reaffirmed the prominent status of equestrian sports in Saudi Arabia and the generous support and patronage it receives from the leadership. It proved that its venues are renowned as historical landmarks, its fleet stands as a witness to the nobility of purebred Arabian horses, and its continuous interaction with the present aligns with a global competitive vision.
