Detained Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro Sends Message to His People from the United States, Urging Support for the Interim President
The detained President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, has sent a message to his people from his current prison in the United States, advising his citizens to rely on the country’s interim president, Delcy Rodríguez, to guide the nation’s affairs.
The son of the former president, Nicolás Maduro Guerra, shared the message they received, which says: “Trust in Delcy and her team, and trust in us.”
Guerra said that Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, who was also detained, remain composed and strong, emphasizing that both possess a strong sense of conscience and faith in God and the Venezuelan people.
It is worth noting that U.S. special forces detained Maduro and Flores in Caracas on January 3.
