Inauguration of “Made in Saudi Arabia 2025” Exhibition with the Presence of the Syrian Minister of Economy
The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, inaugurated the third edition of the “Made in Saudi Arabia 2025” exhibition, under the slogan “We Create Empowerment,” at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, organized by the Saudi Export Development Authority, represented by the “Made in Saudi Arabia” program, and attended by the Syrian Minister of Economy and Industry, Dr. Mohammed Nidal Al-Shaar.
The sisterly Syrian Arab Republic participates as a guest of honor in the exhibition, amidst a wide presence of governmental and private entities, along with an elite group of national manufacturers and sector leaders.
Al-Khorayef affirmed in a speech delivered during the opening ceremony that the “Made in Saudi Arabia” exhibition is a pivotal platform for highlighting the development of Saudi industry and the quality and competitiveness of its products in local and international markets, and an important station for building qualitative partnerships that support the growth of national industries.
Al-Khorayef indicated that the “Made in Saudi Arabia” program, launched in 2021 under the generous patronage of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect him – embodies the Kingdom’s ambition to become a leading industrial power, and for its products and services to gain the confidence of consumers in local and global markets, by focusing on encouraging local talents and innovations, supporting the national product, and enhancing the ability of companies to expand and access global markets.
He explained that Saudi non-oil exports achieved a record performance, reaching $515 \text{ billion}$ riyals in 2024, and also recorded a historic performance in the first half of 2025, achieving the highest semi-annual value of $307 \text{ billion}$ riyals; which reflects the role of industry as a fundamental pillar in diversifying the national economy in accordance with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
Al-Khorayef praised the role played by the Saudi Export Development Authority in facilitating the access of national products and enhancing their competitiveness in international markets, where (108) export agreements were signed, in addition to registering (433) new importers on the “Import from Saudi Arabia” platform, as well as licensing (9) export houses that offer their services to support the penetration of national factory products into international markets. These houses have managed to reach (21) countries across several continents, while the total export volume of these export houses reached $390 \text{ million}$ riyals during the elapsed period of 2025.
In the same context, he referred to the contribution of the Saudi Export-Import Bank in enabling Saudi non-oil exports to expand into various international markets, by providing credit facilities exceeding $100 \text{ billion}$ riyals since the bank’s establishment in 2020 until the end of last September, including credit facilities exceeding $5 \text{ billion}$ riyals to international trading houses operating in more than 150 markets around the world; which contributed to enhancing the flow of national exports to global markets.
The Syrian Minister of Economy and Industry also delivered a speech on strengthening regional industry and economic cooperation, addressing the importance of developing the industrial sector, and the role of economic cooperation in supporting sustainable development paths, and enhancing industrial integration between sisterly countries, which contributes to expanding partnership horizons and creating new opportunities for regional cooperation.
The opening ceremony witnessed the welcoming of the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic as a guest of honor for the current edition of the exhibition under the slogan “We are alike,” with the participation of more than 25 Syrian companies in a step aimed at highlighting opportunities for industrial cooperation and integration, and reflecting the depth of the fraternal relations between the two countries.
The third edition of the “Made in Saudi Arabia 2025” exhibition is an extension of the successes achieved by the previous two editions in consolidating local and international consumer confidence in the Saudi product. This year’s edition is characterized by wide participation, with the presence of more than 25 governmental entities, and the participation of over 300 exhibitors, in addition to organizing 10 accompanying events, and 20 discussion sessions, with the participation of more than 60 speakers from thought leaders and decision-makers.
More than 25 workshops are being held on the sidelines of the exhibition, in addition to the signing of more than 50 Memoranda of Understanding.
The exhibition is considered a leading national platform for showcasing the most prominent national products and services, and enhancing their presence in local and international markets. It also represents a qualitative opportunity for building partnerships and achieving industrial integration between various sectors, and will continue until December 17, showcasing the latest national industrial products and solutions, highlighting partnership and investment opportunities, thereby reinforcing the identity of Saudi industry and supporting its path towards further growth and empowerment.
