The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah urged the guests of the Most Merciful, including visitors and Umrah pilgrims, to observe photography etiquette when taking photos inside the Two Holy Mosques.
In an explanatory infographic published via its official account on the “X” platform, the ministry explained that Muslims within the precincts of the Two Holy Mosques must observe photography etiquette out of respect for the sanctity of the holy sites and to preserve the privacy of others.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah noted the importance of sensing the spiritual moment with the heart before the lens, emphasizing the need to not let taking photos distract from reverence in worship. It also stressed avoiding standing in a way that obstructs traffic and respecting the privacy of those praying and performing I’tikaf in their religious devotion.
