Liverpool management negotiates with Salah’s agent while the forward is at the African Cup of Nations tournament
According to the British newspaper “The Times,” the management of the English football club Liverpool will complete a round of meetings with Ramy Abbas, the agent of the Egyptian international star Mohamed Salah.
These meetings are expected to take place during Salah’s time with the Egyptian national team participating in the 2025 African Cup of Nations tournament held in Morocco between December 21 and January 18.
The same newspaper indicated that Liverpool executives aim through these discussions to ascertain the opinion of Salah’s agent regarding the reality of offers received from Saudi clubs, and they also wish to definitively settle the player’s fate, which will help in reaching a final agreement regarding his future, whether he will complete the current season with the English team or if he will leave during the upcoming winter transfer window.
Previous press reports revealed that the Liverpool club completely rejects the idea of the player leaving in January, and that the recent difficult circumstances the player has faced will not affect his completion of the current season with the “Reds,” while discussions regarding the future of the relationship between the two parties will resume during Salah’s participation with the Egyptian national team in the African Cup of Nations tournament.
The player’s transfer to play for one of the Saudi clubs requires the approval of his current club, Liverpool, as he cannot sign with any other team while remaining at Liverpool.
Regarding age, Mohamed Salah, the Egyptian international forward who plays for Liverpool, is 33 years old.
The player will be able to join the Egyptian national team participating in the 2025 African Cup of Nations tournament, and this may affect his potential absence from 7 matches of the English Premier League if the Egyptian national team qualifies for the final match in the continental tournament.
It is noted that these developments come at a time when the player’s relationship with the English club is witnessing some challenges, which has raised many questions about his professional future and the continuation of his stay in the English Premier League.
