Morocco National Team Defeats Nigeria on Penalties in Cameroon 2022 Final
Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Morocco national team triumphed over Nigeria on penalties with a score of 4-2, following the end of regulation and extra time in a goalless draw, in the semi-final match held at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
The two teams exchanged ball possession and created chances, but they were unable to find the back of the net throughout 120 minutes of play, leading to penalty kicks that propelled the “Atlas Lions” toward the final match of the African continent’s tournament.
With this result, the Morocco national team qualified for the final match of the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations held in Cameroon, awaiting a confrontation with Africa’s strongest teams in the upcoming final.
