Apple recently announced the expansion of its partnership with Google by relying on Gemini artificial intelligence models to power its voice assistant, Siri, by blending innovative technologies to build its own foundational models. A new report reveals the features expected from this advanced partnership.
Apple explained that Gemini models will run directly on the device with support from Private Cloud Compute technology, without further elaboration. The report indicates that Apple has the authority to request specific modifications from Google for the Gemini model, in addition to the ability to independently tune and improve it to provide responses that align with its style and targeted user experience.
In the same context, the report noted that the beta version of Siri based on Gemini does not include any references or branding for Google or Gemini.
