The central exhibition activities of the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity, “Ibdaa 2026,” launched today in the city of Riyadh. Organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) in partnership with the Ministry of Education, this event is part of the fourth and final stage of a series of central exhibitions held across various regions of the Kingdom.
Participating in the Riyadh exhibition are 131 male and female students from general education, showcasing qualitative scientific and engineering projects in multiple fields. These projects will undergo evaluation by specialized scientific judging committees comprising a select group of academics and experts.
The central exhibitions are a pivotal stage in the Olympiad’s path, as projects are evaluated and the outstanding ones are nominated to move on to the “Ibdaa Science and Engineering Fair,” which qualifies participants for international competitions. Approximately 200 male and female students out of a total of 500 participants in the central exhibitions across the Kingdom are expected to qualify at this stage.
The organization of these exhibitions comes as part of “Mawhiba’s” efforts to discover and nurture talented individuals and to enhance their research and innovation capabilities, contributing to the development of a creative national generation that supports the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
