2 Min Read

The Riyadh Municipality has fully opened the Al-Ha’ir Road bridge at its intersection with Wadi Hanifa, as part of projects to improve the road network and increase traffic efficiency in the south of the capital.

The project included the construction of a 170-meter-long and 15-meter-wide bridge featuring 4 traffic lanes, in addition to developing Al-Ha’ir Road to improve traffic flow. It also involved creating a feeder road starting from Al-Ghanamia district to serve residents and connect them to Al-Ha’ir Road via the bridge, enhancing ease of movement and connectivity between neighboring districts in southern Riyadh.

The project contributed to raising the level of traffic safety, improving the flow of movement, and reducing traffic conflict points. It also ensures that rising water levels in Wadi Hanifa do not affect vehicle movement on the bridge, supporting the continuity of traffic on the road under all conditions.

The opening of this bridge coincides with the operation of the Al-Ghanamia district bridge, which enhances traffic connectivity between axes and supports the integration of movement on this main road.

These projects fall within the Riyadh Municipality’s strategy to develop road networks in a way that supports urban development and improves the quality of life, in line with its vision as a leading municipality for a prosperous and sustainable Riyadh, and its mission to elevate Riyadh by promoting sustainable urban development, providing high-quality services, and building effective partnerships toward a vibrant society.
