Saudi Arabia Leads the World in Youth Artificial Intelligence Competition, Securing 26 Awards
Majed Al-Shehri, the official spokesperson for the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA), confirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia secured first place, ahead of the United States, in the number of awards won at the Youth Artificial Intelligence Competition, which featured participants from over 100 countries.
During an interview on the “Ya Hala” program broadcast on Rotana Khalejia, Al-Shehri noted that the total number of awards obtained by the Kingdom was the highest in the competition. He praised the efforts of the participating students and the support various entities provided for their achievements.
He stated that SDAIA has been working for years to build a generation capable of excelling in the field of artificial intelligence and motivating youth to learn and utilize all types of modern technologies.
It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia ranked first globally in the World Artificial Intelligence Competition for Youth (WAICY 2025) after achieving 26 awards in the competition.
