# The Secretary-General of the Arab League Condemns a Terrorist Bombing in Homs, Syria
The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Dr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, condemned the terrorist bombing that targeted a mosque in the Syrian city of Homs, resulting in a number of casualties and injuries among innocent civilians.
In a statement issued today, the Secretary-General warned of cunning attempts aimed at destabilizing the security and stability of Syria by sowing discord and spreading chaos, emphasizing the need to intensify efforts to overcome current challenges in a manner that preserves the unity and sovereignty of Syria.
He reaffirmed the Arab League’s continuous support for the Syrian government’s efforts to combat terrorism in all its forms and cooperation with the international community regarding the export of terrorist risks and the uprooting of their sources, offering his condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and his wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.
