US President Donald Trump said in a conversation with CNN that the large bruise that appeared on his left hand resulted from it hitting a piece of furniture in Switzerland.
Trump told CNN correspondent Samantha Waldenberg aboard Air Force One: “I scratched it on the table, and I put a little cream on it—what’s it called? But I scratched it.”
CNN revealed discrepancies in the disclosure regarding the cause of Trump’s injury, as the White House had announced on Thursday that Trump scratched his left hand on a table while signing documents during the inauguration ceremony of the “Peace Council” in the Gaza Strip.
Reports indicate that photos from the event show Trump’s hand intact at the beginning of the ceremony, with the marks beginning to appear afterward.
