US President Trump approves emergency status in 10 states due to winter storm
On Saturday evening, US President Donald Trump approved the declaration of a state of emergency in ten states in the southeastern United States.
This declaration came in response to the progression of the winter storm, which poses a threat to the security and safety of residents and has caused the disruption of essential initiatives across wide areas of the United States.
In a post on his “Truth Social” platform, the US President announced his approval of the emergency declaration in the states of Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, Maryland, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Indiana, and West Virginia.
Trump noted that the administration is working in close coordination with state governors and various federal agencies to provide the necessary support to face the storms and ensure a rapid and integrated response.
