US President Trump: Iran contacted us to negotiate and is tired of American pressure
U.S. President Donald Trump said on Sunday that Iran, a country currently facing bloody protests and ongoing tension with the United States, contacted him yesterday, Saturday, to begin negotiations.
Trump confirmed, saying: “They called yesterday,” adding: “Iran called to negotiate.”
The President added: “Iran’s leaders want to negotiate,” noting that “I think they are tired of being beat up by the United States,” pointing out that “Iran wants to negotiate with us.”
Trump’s remarks come days after his condemnation of Iran should Tehran engage in deadly violence against protesters.
