Trump reveals the true reason behind record 4.3% U.S. economic growth in the third quarter
CNN– President Donald Trump confirmed Saturday through his “Truth Social” platform that the record growth experienced by the U.S. economy during the last three months of the year, which reached a growth rate of 4.3% according to U.S. Department of Commerce data, can be explained primarily through his tariff policies.
In his electronic post, Trump addressed how the tariff policies he adopted were the primary driver of the economic prosperity the United States currently enjoys.
Trump pointed directly in his post to the fact that “tariffs create massive wealth and unprecedented national security for the United States.”
He added that tariffs led to the end of a period of trade deficits for the U.S. economy, as it managed to achieve a massive reduction in the trade deficit by 60%, a figure unprecedented in the history of the American economy.
Trump also emphasized the 4.3% increase in GDP, stressing that this progress is constantly increasing and that this economic policy followed by the United States came without any increase in inflation rates, contributing to giving the country significant international status and respect.
