Turkey: Contact lost with the plane of the Libyan Chief of Staff after takeoff from Ankara

Ankara, Turkey (United News Network – UNN) — Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced today that contact was lost with a private jet carrying the Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Haddad, while it was en route from Ankara Airport to Tripoli.

The official Turkish TRT network quoted the Turkish Interior Minister as saying that contact with the plane was lost immediately after its takeoff from Ankara Airport, bound for Tripoli, with five passengers on board, including the Libyan Chief of Staff.

The Turkish Interior Minister also revealed via his personal account on the “X” platform (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday that the aircraft is a Falcon 50 model, without mentioning its serial number.
