The Riyadh Region Municipality signed two agreements with the Riyadh Holding Company to operate, manage, and maintain the King Abdullah Gardens (“KAGA”), under the patronage of Prince Dr. Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, Mayor of the Riyadh Region, and with the support of the National Center for Privatization, as part of the ongoing preparations to operate the project as it nears completion.
The signing witnessed an active presence, where the Municipality was represented by the Undersecretary for Projects, Engineer Al-Waleed bin Abdulrahman Al-Ekrish, while the CEO, Engineer Assem bin Mohammed Al-Suhaibani, signed on behalf of “Riyadh Holding.”
The two agreements aim to prepare the project for actual operation after the completion of construction work. “Riyadh Holding” will take on the task of operating and managing all project systems, including climate control technologies, energy centers, and water treatment and irrigation plants, in addition to maintaining the vegetation cover through periodic and specialized mechanisms that ensure operational efficiency and facility sustainability according to the highest municipal and environmental standards.
The “KAGA” project is considered one of the most prominent urban initiatives in the capital, requiring an integrated operational system to provide distinguished services to visitors and achieve the optimal utilization of public assets.
These agreements aim to activate privatization models in operating qualitative projects, enhance urban development, and raise the quality of life, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, reflecting the Riyadh Region Municipality’s commitment to developing the city toward a prosperous and sustainable future.
