UAE Becomes Second Arab Nation to Join “Pax Silica” Alliance Enhancing Regional Economic Cooperation
Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) — The U.S. Department of State announced on Wednesday the accession of the United Arab Emirates to the “Pax Silica” alliance, aimed at achieving further economic and strategic cooperation.
With this, the United Arab Emirates becomes the second Arab nation to participate in this alliance, which aims to promote peace and prosperity in the Mediterranean region and the world, bringing its total membership to nine countries.
In an official statement, the U.S. State Department noted that the United Arab Emirates signed the Pax Silica Declaration today, citing it as a historic achievement in the journey of regional economic integration.
The U.S. State Department added in its statement that the UAE’s leadership in the fields of energy, investment, and technological innovation makes it an essential partner in achieving the alliance’s goals of enhancing regional stability and developing member economies.
