Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky outlined new details of the peace plan he proposed, which includes a comprehensive framework aimed at freezing hostilities and providing long-term security guarantees, in addition to an agreement for the reconstruction of Ukraine. An updated version of the plan was delivered to the United States yesterday, Wednesday, as efforts continue to find solutions to issues related to territory.
While Kyiv insists on the importance of obtaining the approval of the Ukrainian people, President Zelensky affirmed that citizens have the right to express their opinion on possible territorial concessions through a public referendum. This new point comes as the United States seeks to reach an understanding on the peace proposals by Christmas.
