Former Member of Parliament and candidate in the Egyptian House of Representatives elections, Nashwa El-Deeb, issued an appeal to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, pointing to the presence of “political money” and manipulation before tomorrow’s elections.

El-Deeb is contesting the elections in the Imbaba constituency in Giza, whose results were previously canceled due to widespread manipulation and fraud attempts. She is preparing to run in the re-elections on Saturday and Sunday, among 19 other constituencies where results were previously invalidated.

El-Deeb posted a video on her account, stating that “meetings” involving other parties took place in preparation for manipulating the elections again through the wide-scale collection and withholding of voters’ national ID cards until the end of the elections to prevent citizens from casting their votes, in addition to spreading warnings in the constituency against supporting her, according to her statement.

The candidate wrote in her Facebook post: “An appeal to the President of the Republic, save us Mr. President; threats, intimidation, discrimination, and preventing people from voting tomorrow, save us…..”
