The spokesperson for the National Center of Meteorology in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Hussain al-Qahtani, announced the end of the cold wave that recently affected the Kingdom.
Speaking to “Okaz” newspaper, al-Qahtani confirmed that a new weather condition is on the horizon, noting that it will reach the Eastern Province on Friday evening. He pointed out that the current cold wave is no longer in effect, highlighting that the impact of a cold air mass must last for five days or more to be classified as a cold wave according to established standards.
Regarding the upcoming weather conditions, al-Qahtani explained that “the next weather situation carries chances of rainfall, with its direct effects beginning Friday evening, concentrating on the northeastern parts of the Eastern Province.”
