Wadi Mughaydid in the Najran region preserves its natural beauty and unique environmental features
Wadi Mughaydid, located northwest of the city of Najran, on the slopes of the peaks of Maghra mountains within the Sarawat mountain range, is a pioneering land of pristine natural beauty. The valley possesses unique environmental features, is characterized by its distinct plant cover, and lush water streams that retain their abundance throughout most of the year.
The valley extends from the bottom of Bir Askar Park to the Sha’ab Baran area, at a distance estimated at about 25 kilometers from the center of Najran city. It is distinguished by its unique geographical location that combines green plains and towering mountains, which gives the place an attractive natural character and a suitable environment for picnicking and enjoying the beauty of nature.
Wadi Mughaydid has witnessed a noticeable increase in the vegetation cover during the past period, as a result of the rain and floods that the region and surrounding areas witnessed, due to its distinctive nature on the slopes of the Sarawat mountains. This contributed to the revival of natural streams and the flourishing of green areas along the valley.
