White House announces formation of “Peace Council” chaired by Trump for Gaza reconstruction
The White House announced on Friday the names of the members of the “Peace Council” chaired by U.S. President Donald Trump, which oversees the reconstruction of Gaza, in addition to the head of a technocratic committee dedicated to managing the daily affairs of the war-torn Strip.
The “Founding Executive Council” of the Peace Committee includes U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, U.S. Envoy Steve Witkoff, the President’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
