India has announced that all crew members aboard the Indian vessel Faize Noore Oliya were rescued after the ship was struck by a projectile while sailing near Yemeni waters. The attack ultimately caused the vessel to sink, but no casualties were reported, marking another incident that underscores the ongoing security challenges facing commercial shipping in the Red Sea and nearby maritime routes off Yemen\u2019s coast.<\/p>\n

Sarbananda Sonowal, India\u2019s Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, confirmed that the vessel came under attack while operating near the Yemeni coastline before later sinking. He stated that all 14 crew members were safely rescued.<\/p>\n

In a post on his X account, Sonowal said the rescue operation was successfully carried out by the Yemeni Coast Guard, which transported the sailors to the Port of Mokha. He confirmed that no crew members were killed or injured in the incident.<\/p>\n
