Four Palestinians from the same family, including two girls, were killed today, Thursday, in an Israeli strike targeting northern Gaza, according to a hospital in western Gaza City and a security source in the Strip.<\/p>\n
Al-Shifa Hospital said in a statement that it had received four bodies after the victims, who were members of the \u201cAhmed\u201d family, were recovered in pieces following an Israeli strike on a home in the Beit Lahia Project in the northern Strip. It explained that two of those killed were girls aged 8 and 12.<\/p>\n
For its part, the Israeli military said it was investigating the circumstances of the incident, according to Agence France-Presse. In the same context, a Palestinian security source said that Israeli warplanes carried out two airstrikes after midnight on Beit Lahia and the heart of the Jabalia refugee camp, noting that Israeli forces also shelled tents housing displaced people and ambulances, accusing Israel of continuing its \u201cviolations in the Gaza Strip.\u201d<\/p>\n
Israel had agreed in October of last year to a ceasefire mediated by the United States, but it has continued its military operations in the Strip ever since.<\/p>\n
Israeli Prime Minister \u201cBenjamin Netanyahu\u201d also pledged to continue airstrikes against Hamas, which led the October 7, 2023 attack, stressing that Israel would not withdraw from Gaza unless the movement gives up its weapons.<\/p>\n
Israeli airstrikes have killed more than 1,300 people since the ceasefire was announced, according to health authorities in Gaza.<\/p>\n
