Ukrainian authorities reported today, Wednesday, that a Russian drone attack targeted the capital, Kyiv, at dawn, causing a fire to break out at a warehouse in the Sviatoshynskyi district.<\/p>\n
The Kyiv City Military Administration said the warehouse building caught fire as a result of the attack, while emergency teams continued to deal with the aftermath of the strike. There have been no reports so far of any deaths or injuries.<\/p>\n
The attack came hours after Kyiv was subjected yesterday, Tuesday, to repeated Russian attacks that killed one person and injured 12 others in various parts of the capital. Earlier, a Reuters witness reported hearing an explosion in Kyiv in the morning. The Russian Defense Ministry had announced on Tuesday that ships and a freight train at ports used by Ukrainian forces had been targeted.<\/p>\n
In a statement, the ministry said the Russian military continued to strike Ukrainian ports and naval vessels used in support of Ukrainian forces as part of the ongoing military operations. It added that the strikes targeted a sea ferry at the port of Chornomorsk, a sea tanker at the port of Izmail, as well as a railway train while military cargo was being loaded at the port of Yuzhne.<\/p>\n
