U.S. President \u201cDonald Trump\u201d cut short his vacation at \u201cCamp David\u201d and unexpectedly returned to the White House on Saturday evening, amid escalating tensions in the Middle East. The \u201cAxios\u201d website reported that Trump returned 24 hours earlier than scheduled, while the White House did not explain the reasons for his early return from the resort.<\/p>\n
His return coincided with a security warning issued by the U.S. State Department, which urged its citizens in the Middle East to exercise increased caution, citing what it described as a \u201ccomplex\u201d security environment and the possibility of \u201cunexpected escalation.\u201d<\/p>\n
The State Department said that Iran-backed Houthis had carried out hostile actions against Saudi Arabia, including attacks targeting civilian airports, warning of the possibility of \u201crapid escalation\u201d in the confrontation.<\/p>\n
It also called on Americans outside the Middle East to seriously reconsider traveling to or through the region, and urged those currently there to prepare for possible flight cancellations, airspace closures, and disruptions to travel.<\/p>\n
The department also warned of the possibility that Iran or groups supporting it could target U.S. interests abroad, or sites associated with the United States and its citizens, including American companies and institutions.<\/p>\n
