Morgan Rogers Surpasses 20-Goal Threshold and Becomes the Youngest Scorer in Villa’s History<\/p>\n

Morgan Rogers, the Aston Villa forward, has achieved a new historic milestone after reaching a total of 21 goals in all competitions since the start of last season.<\/p>\n

At 23 years and 148 days old today, Rogers has become the youngest player to score 20 or more goals for a top-flight team during this period.<\/p>\n

Unai Emery, Aston Villa’s manager, confirmed that Rogers is the “hero” of the team, possessing a “fighter’s” spirit and reaping rewards for these efforts on the pitch.<\/p>\n

“He is a great guy and a great professional because he loves football,” Emery told BBC Match of the Day. “Morgan loves to work. It is hard work, and his professional level is rising to a high standard. He started the season without scoring but played well; despite that, he always showed the right attitude, and now he has scored goals.”<\/p>\n

Rogers is considered Aston Villa’s top scorer in the Premier League with seven goals, including four in his last two matches. In fact, he became the first player in Aston Villa’s history to score multiple goals in consecutive Premier League matches since Dion Dublin in November 1998.<\/p>\n

Former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney stated that Rogers has fully proven himself over the past month. “With his physique, he is a strong player. He runs with the ball well and scores some good goals,” Rooney said. “He is playing brilliantly. He has clearly become the key player for Aston Villa.”<\/p>\n

Sue Smith, the former Leeds and England international, emphasized that Rogers’ first touch is “perfect,” adding that when matches are decided by small margins, he can “produce these great moments” to determine the final result.<\/p>\n
