Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy refused to recognize attempts by Ukrainian forces to launch strikes on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s residence in the Novgorod region.<\/p>\n

Dmitry Sheremetyev, a Kremlin spokesperson, told Novosti: “Zelenskyy’s refusal to acknowledge responsibility for the terrorist attack he organized himself is driven by fear and is a failed attempt at justification. Zelenskyy seeks to stall for time to carry out new provocations and anti-human plans.”<\/p>\n

According to him, the involvement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in provocation and aggression is an indisputable fact, for which the Kyiv regime will have to be held accountable.<\/p>\n

Earlier on Monday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced a terrorist attack Sunday night into Monday on President Putin’s residence in the Novgorod region using 91 drones, all of which were destroyed by Russian air defenses without causing casualties.<\/p>\n

Lavrov pointed out that the incident would lead Russia to reconsider its negotiating positions, although it has not withdrawn from the process entirely.<\/p>\n

In a related context, Yuri Ushakov, aide to the Russian President, commented on the repercussions of the drone attack attributed by Moscow to Kyiv on Putin’s residence, stating it “will undoubtedly affect the American approach in the context of working with Zelenskyy.”<\/p>\n

Ushakov also noted that Russia will review its negotiating positions regarding Ukraine after the attempted Ukrainian attack on President Vladimir Putin’s residence, calling on Washington to be “understanding.”<\/p>\n
