Italian cooking receives full recognition from UNESCO as cultural heritage
Dubai, UAE (CNN) — Italian national cuisine has become the first cooking art to receive full recognition from UNESCO, placing it in a position that will help protect it from imitators.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni confirmed the decision to classify Italian food as intangible cultural heritage yesterday, ahead of the expected official announcement from UNESCO.
