Dr. Faisal Al-Mutairi, President of the International Diplomatic Union and Ambassador of the International Congress, condemned the attack that took place in the city of Sydney, Australia, affirming that this assault constitutes a cowardly terrorist act that contradicts all human values and moral principles, and aims to undermine security and spread fear among innocent civilians.
Dr. Al-Mutairi emphasized that Australia is considered one of the leading countries in promoting the values of peace, peaceful coexistence, and respect for cultural and religious diversity, noting that such criminal acts will not undermine the unity of Australian society nor its firmly established principles based on tolerance and openness.
He stressed that terrorism has no religion and no homeland, and that confronting it requires concerted international efforts and strengthened cooperation among countries and institutions to combat extremism in all its forms, cut off its intellectual and financial sources, and promote a culture of dialogue and peace among nations.
The President of the International Diplomatic Union expressed the Union’s full solidarity with the Government and people of Australia during this painful time, calling for standing united against all forms of violence and terrorism, and affirming support for security and legal efforts aimed at preserving safety and stability.
