Russian economic envoy moves to Miami to follow up on Ukraine peace negotiations
A Russian source familiar with the details of the diplomatic tour told CNN on Thursday that the Russian economic envoy, Kirill Dmitriev, will head to Miami soon to meet there to share a briefing on the results of the peace negotiations regarding Ukraine that took place in Berlin this week, which involved officials from the United States, Ukraine, and European allies.
The source explained that Dmitriev, who serves as the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, will be briefed by the U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, including the latest updates on the recent talks conducted by Witkoff alongside Jared Kushner regarding their efforts to find a peaceful settlement to the crisis.
Mr. Dmitriev was directed to Ukrainian and European officials, and the invitation was extended to him in the context of ongoing efforts toward reaching solutions for the disputed positions through negotiations.
