U.S. Secret Service personnel discovered a suspicious object, prompting a decision to modify the route of President Donald Trump’s motorcade. This discovery led to an additional investigation at the site.
Karoline Leavitt, the White House Press Secretary, explained in a statement issued Sunday: “During advance sweeps of PBI Airport, a suspicious object was discovered by the U.S. Secret Service.”
Leavitt added, “A further investigation was warranted and the presidential motorcade route was adjusted accordingly.”
