The Operations Directorate of the Syrian Army stated that it has monitored the arrival of more armed groups at the deployment points of the SDF organization in the eastern Aleppo countryside, near Maskanah and Dayr Hafir.
The Operations Directorate explained to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) that these new reinforcements included a number of fighters from the terrorist PKK organization and remnants of the former regime.
It added that it is studying and evaluating the field situation directly and immediately, noting that the SDF’s bringing in of terrorist groups is a dangerous escalation and that any military movement carried out by these groups will be met with a violent response.
The Directorate stressed that the Syrian Army will not stand idly by in the face of this dangerous escalation.
