The Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, issued directives to hold official mourning ceremonies following the death of the former Vice President of the Presidential Council, Ali Salem al-Beidh.
The Yemeni Presidency reported that the directives included sending a high-level official delegation representing His Excellency the President, the Presidential Leadership Council, and the Government to offer condolences to the deceased’s family, in addition to opening condolence registers within Yemen. He also ordered similar ceremonies to be held through embassies and diplomatic missions abroad.
An official source noted that the directives also included transporting the body of the deceased, “Al-Beidh,” and burying him with official ceremonies in his birthplace in Hadramout Governorate, in accordance with his will and in a manner befitting his political and national status.
The Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, on behalf of himself, the members of the Council, and the Government, renewed his deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the family of the deceased in a telephone call, praising his career full of giving and his significant political contributions during pivotal stages of the nation’s history.
In this context, Ambassador Mohammed Al Jaber, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Yemen, extended his deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the family of the struggling President Ali Salem al-Beidh and to the brotherly Yemeni people, asking God to bestow His vast mercy upon him, grant him a place in His spacious gardens, and inspire his family and loved ones with patience and solace.
